Overall Summary: A ballerina has a stalker. A philosopher, a math prodigy, and a Marine object.
Scene Specific Summary: Evette discusses the nature of reality.
Notes: Fifth and sixth scenes of an as-yet unfinished, untitled play. Rating for extensive profanity. I like these scenes a lot but am very afraid the sixth is overly self-indulgent.

Title: At The Syndicate
Series: Vegas Saga (very, very loosely)
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 675
Summary: Cyril was a regular until his partner fucked him over.
Warning: Allusion to a foot fetish.
Notes: The Syndicate is the club Julian takes Michelle to in the New York part of the Vegas Saga, which exists as hundred-word scraps that will hopefully coalesce into something readable, some day. This chain of events is vaguely alluded to in one of those scraps.

So, me and Stephy, we know this girl, Jeana, and Jeana's got this friend named Cyril and. . .Collapse )

Title: Lucretia
Series: unfinished
Rating: PG?
Word Count: 2060
Summary: Sleep-deprived genius catches ninja off guard.
Notes: Posted this on my regular journal a while back. Heavily influenced by the Ninja Turtles. Originally the sister was going to get kidnapped by evil ninjas and they'd have to use the magic katana to save her which isn't a spoiler because A) I'm never going to finish it and B) anyone with any familiarity with fiction of any kind could figure that out. Interesting in that it appears to be populated entirely by gentiles! But they still seem kinda gay. I'm not sure if that was intentional.

Lucretia Carmichael was a genius. You didn't need to tell her sister that.Collapse )

Title: In Hiding
Series: none
Rating: PG13ish
Word Count: 1355
Summary: Anita did not intend to go missing but she still had to be found.
Notes: Repost with revisions. Still pretty much nonsensical.

She was doing a pretty good job of hiding for someone no one was looking for.Collapse )

Title: Jane
Series: unfinished
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 3836
Summary: Social insecurity at an all-women college. Not actually autobiographical.
Notes: The part where they originally met Ilse was written but never typed. The part where Ira and Jane met Sophy was typed but it's fucking incoherent. The only real context you need is that Ira and Jane were best friends-since-forever; Ira originally found Sophy hopelessly irritating; Jane thought it was funny; Jane somehow social engineered Sophy and Ira into going to the same university as her and becoming friends. Ilse is a year older and yelled at Jane for doing something bad in a dark room when she was a freshman. Two years later, Ilse faints on Jane in the night. They are reincarnated something-or-others who would eventually have either saved the world or become rock stars. I can't remember which. Also, I was experimenting with dialog so they talk kind of funny. It was worse before.

“It's not that I think they're malicious or anything,” Jane said to Ilse's ceiling.Collapse )

Today I am posting WIPs that aren't WIPs because that would imply progress is being made. And it isn't.

Title: Dungeno
Series: unfinished
Rating: PG?
Word Count: 945
Summary: Gay Jewish angst on a starship.
Notes: I've started but never finished a couple of things set in the Star Trek universe, concerning the Starship Dungeno (a name which came about because I sometimes misspell things and thought it looked cool), populated by characters I write about in other places. It is unlikely that this, or anything in this continuity, will ever be finished but I'm throwing it out there anyway. I would also like to take this opportunity to point out I do sometimes write about gentiles having gay angst.

The rhythmic drumming of Lieutenant Anita Rabinoveitch's heels against the white counter she'd sat herself on would have annoyed Dr. Meschesh Herskowitz, under ordinary circumstances.Collapse )

Title: Home for Lost Dolls
Series: Environmental Apocalypse
Rating: PG?
Word Count: 1416
Summary: It's Sadie's job to fix Andy.
Notes: The A plot in this continuity concerns a coal sludge spill in rural Appalachia and the activities of Sascha, a twenty-something law student-turned-filmmaker, who attempts to document the corruption of the corporation responsible. There are subplots revolving around Sascha's family, her widowed sister-in-law, and her friends from college, including Sadie, Andy, and Lucy. Andy has a whole lot of angst and issues left over from her vaguely fucked-up childhood. This is set when they were undergraduates.

Andy paused, her wide brown eyes fixed on deep black clouds that drifted overhead, threatening to explode at any moment.Collapse )
