Title: Michelle: Interlude
Series: Heroes of the Zombie Apocalypse
Rating: PG-13/R for violence
Word Count: 4625
Summary: In the wake of the dead rising, Michelle Clinton took her bike and went from her home in Appalachia to the Northwest Territories. This is what happened in New York.
Notes: First in the Heroes of the Zombie Apocalypse series. Written for my best friend type person's birthday. I appear, as someone who's obsessive paranoia ultimately pays off.

There is a universe in which Michelle Clinton is content.Collapse )

Title: Mitt and Leena: A Slightly Toxic Love Story
Series: NONE, DAMMIT
Fandom: I don't want to talk about it.
Pairing: I really, really don't want to talk about it.
Rating: Shit
Word Count: Too fucking long (4018)
Summary: Leena and Mitt Fucking Romney have true love.
Warnings Lots of weird. Lots of specifically requested weird that I did not come up with. (I'm not really denying responsibility. I brought it into being. But there are so many levels of creepy here and I'd like to make it clear that my autonomy was highly restricted and someone else made up 90% of the content of this story.) Did you get the part about Mitt Romney?
Notes: I am deeply angry with this story. I wrote it (you have no idea how much it hurt to type those words) as a present for a friend of mine. As a present, it was great. As a piece of fiction, fuck knows. As something of mine, it fails. But it's here and it's finished and I'm inflicting it upon you, the public, because I hate you for reading it almost as much as I hate myself for writing it. I skimmed it before posting and it might be worth reading just to see exactly how much of my bitterness over being made to do this leaked through.

This is a love story. That alone should tell you all you need to know.Collapse )

Title: How To Be A Good Lesbian
Series: none
Rating: R
Word Count: 1041
Summary: Sandy is shocked and disturbed by the idea she might be okay at this whole lesbian thing. (Warning: This story may contain lesbians. Just a hunch.)
Notes: I love the hell out of this story. It's not that I think it's particularly good or even better than anything else I've written; I just really enjoyed writing it and I enjoy rereading it.

“When did I get good at being a lesbian?” “Dunno. Think you're still pretty shit at it, myself.”Collapse )

Title: Ray Galilei, Alex Livanov, and the Fine Art of Classification
Series: Ray
Rating: PG-13ish
Word Count: 1248
Summary: Ray is apparently only mostly asexual and Alex already knows everything he has to say.
Notes: This is where I started building a plot. I'd been writing with this idea in mind from the beginning, but only really addressed it here. This is supposed to be what happened before Ray and Alex showed up in Call It Anxiety, hence their behavior. I would claim that that's why the closing lines parallel each other, but I noticed that as I was copying this out of the OpenOffice file to post it. Hoorah for accidental continuity.

There are trans people in this story.

It occurs to Ray, one day as he's watching Alex tie himself into his boots, that he now knows desire.Collapse )

Title: In Which Helena is a Hero
Series: Helena and Shelby
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 1139
Summary: Shelby has been kidnapped. Helena is not pleased.
Notes: I gave Helena superpowers. Just for this one story. They're awesome. This cuts off kind of abruptly because I was working under a page limit. Also: While I was trying to come up with a street address, I Googled something along the lines of 'menacing words beginning with h'. I <3 Google.

There's a killer on the loose and Shelby's gone missing. I don't suppose it's excruciatingly difficult to connect the dots on this one.Collapse )

Title: A Brief History of Shelby and Nona Kikorov
Series: Helena and Shelby
Rating: PG-13ish
Word Count: 500
Summary: Shelby isn't gay. She's just in love.
Notes: I steal things from books, television, other people's fanfiction (which somehow feels more dishonest than either of the above), and from people around me. Please forgive me.

A few days before I left for college, my mother said, “Whatever you do, don't come back gay.”Collapse )

Title: Minutes to Midnight/Minutes to Midday
Genre: poetry
Word Count: 406
Notes: I've fucked around with this more than any other individual poem. I'm still not quite happy with how it turned out.

Title: Story of a Plague
Series: Helena and Shelby
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 1783
Summary: When her partner is struck down by the most recent disaster, Helena knows she has to fix things on her own.
Notes: This is the story of what actually happened on the day that ended with Washing Off the Awful and Something Bad.

Somewhere along the way, Helena picked up on the idea that to place your hand on the back of someone else’s neck was a sign of possession – of protectiveness, perhaps.Collapse )

Title: Your Mother is a Bitch
Series: Helena and Shelby
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 416
Summary: Shelby talks to her mother.
Notes: Third or fourth written in this universe.

You spent an hour on the phone with your mother, last night. I'd rather not know what you were talking about.Collapse )

Title: Washing Off the Awful
Series: Helena and Shelby
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 1022
Summary: The end of a bad day.
Notes: Second story written in this universe, and the companion to this piece, from which the title came.

Helena once told me that we were too cool for fantasies.Collapse )
